Short Stories

  1. The contest is open to stories of any style and on any subject, but they must not be longer than 3,000 words.
  2. Contestants are not allowed to resubmit a previously submitted piece into the competition.
  3. All entries must be in English and are to be submitted in digital form clearly marked and labeled with the contestant’s details.
  4. All entries must be in English. No corrections can be made after receipt. Once submitted, entries cannot be withdrawn.
  5. Entries must be submitted in MS Word document and must not be formatted.
  6. Entrants must be contactable at the email address they provide at the time of judging. Winners who do not respond to email contact will still be pronounced winners but will forfeit their prize if they do not claim it within three months of the results being made public.
  7. The judges' decision is final and no individual correspondence can be entered into.
  8. Prize winners will be notified by e-mail once judging is complete. Judging will begin when the competition closes and may last several months.
  9. Contestants can win only ONE prize per category
  10. Entry implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions.
  11. The closing date for submissions is 21st June 2019.
